Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City can acquire the services of Sporting CP ace Viktor Gyokeres for €60-70 million.
According to a report from Fichajes, Sporting CP would be willing to negotiate the departure of Viktor Gyokeres next summer, and they will open to an offer of around €60-70 million. It has come as a massive boost for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City who are all keen on his signature.
Gyokeres has only gone from strength to strength since joining the Portuguese outfit from Coventry City in the summer of 2023. In his debut campaign for Sporting CP, the Swedish striker scored 43 goals and bagged 15 assists in his 50 outings.
He has carried on in a similar fashion in the 2024/25 season, with 14 goals and four assists in his 14 outings. The 26-year-old striker’s exceptional form over the last 18 months has put him on the wishlist of multiple top clubs. While Sporting managed to keep hold of him during the last summer window, the report suggests they would be open to sanctioning his departure as long as their demands are met.
Gyokeres’s current deal at the Portuguese club runs until the summer of 2028, and there is a €100 million release clause in his contract. But, the player reportedly has an agreement with the club that will allow him to leave if an interested club offers a fee of around €60-70 million.
Premier League giants to battle for Gyokeres
With Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all interested in adding Viktor Gyokeres to their ranks, there is a high possibility of the Swedish sensation returning to England. The Gunners failed to sign a world-class number nine during the summer, and their search for an out-and-out goal scorer continues and Gyokeres is quite high on their wishlist. His arrival could help Mikel Arteta’s team take the next step and end their wait for a major silverware.
While Mancheter City already have Erling Haaland in their ranks, his long-term future is uncertain. In addition, having lost Julian Alvarez in the summer, they are interested in bringing Gyokeres to Manchester. Chelsea also wanted to sign a new number nine in the summer, but things did not go according to plan.
Their forwards have been doing a great job this season, but Enzo Maresca could look at the 26-year-old to further bolster his attack. With Mohamed Salah in the final phase of his career, Liverpool are looking for their next superstar, and Gyokeres surely has the potential to be the next leader of their attack.
