Everton will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old Belgian winger Largie Ramazani from Almeria in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Largie Ramazani is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are keen on bolstering their attack in the summer transfer window by signing a wide attacker. The 23-year-old Almeria winger has thus emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit, with his versatility appealing to them.
Who is Largie Ramazani?
Largie Ramazani has made gradual progress since joining Almeria from Manchester United in August 2020. A native of Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, he began his youth career in Belgium, passing through the academies at FC Lebbeke and RSC Anderlecht before moving to England in 2013 by joining Charlton Athletic.
However, Ramazani rose in prominence after joining Manchester United in July 2017. The 23-year-old made considerable progress at Manchester United before making his first-team bow in the 2019/20 season. However, with a clear pathway to the first team not clear, Ramazani joined Almeria four years ago.
Since then, the Belgian attacker has made considerable progress, although he has not been as prolific as he would have liked, especially in La Liga. Ramazani has turned out 127 times thus far for Almeria while chipping in with 21 goals and nine assists. However, he faces an uncertain future at the second-division club after they suffered relegation from La Liga.
What next?
Largie Ramazani has entered the final 12 months of his contract with Almeria and might be available for a cut-price fee. Such a situation has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe, including Everton. Interestingly, the Merseyside outfit also showed interest in Ramazani earlier this year during the winter transfer window.
The Toffees are scouring the market for a versatile forward midway through the summer transfer window. They have shown interest in recognised strikers like Eddie Nketiah and Armando Broja. In addition, wide attackers like Samu Chukwueze feature on Everton’s radar.
As for Ramazani, the 23-year-old Belgian winger can play across the frontline and can satisfy Everton’s need to bolster two offensive berths. So, it will be interesting to see if a cut-price move materialises and helps Everton take the former Manchester United academy ace back to England.
