Everton are interested in making a move for Almeria starlet Largie Ramazani

According to Spanish outlet AS (h/t Sport Witness), Premier League side, Everton are keeping tabs on Almeria sensation Largie Ramazani in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Charlton Athletic and Manchester United, making his senior bow for the latter in the 2019/20 season. He failed to cement his spot at Old Trafford and moved to Spain with Almeria in 2020.

The 21-year-old has cemented himself in La Liga and is today one of Almeria’s best players. He has 78 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 16 goals and assisting two more in the process. The young Belgian is only likely to improve the older he gets.

Primarily a left-winger, Ramazani is capable of playing anywhere along the frontline. A good dribbler who is capable of passing and shooting, the 21-year-old would certainly help boost Everton’s feeble attack.

Frank Lampard’s side have struggled for goals this season and find themselves once again embroiled in a relegation dogfight. Unless they can ramp up their goalscoring exploits, there is every reason to believe that it can be a long and hard season.

Richarlison’s move to Tottenham Hotspur has left a huge void in the Everton frontline, and Anthony Gordon’s poor form hasn’t helped matters either. Unless attacking reinforcements are brought in soon, Lampard could struggle to extricate his side from another battle from the drop.

Ramazani’s contract with Almeria extends until 2025, meaning the Spaniards hold the edge in negotiations. Everton are aware that the player has a release clause worth €40m and might need to fork out the cash to land their man. The Toffees aren’t in the best of financial shapes, and it remains to be seen if Almeria will yield to any negotiating tactics.

At 21, Ramazani is still developing as a player and is far from the finished product. His finishing, in particular, leaves much to be desired. Given that Everton needs goals, it might be in their best interests to move for a player who is prolific in front of the net.
