Tottenham establish contact to sign Dominic Solanke

London giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly contacted the representatives of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, a target for Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Dominic Solanke is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The North London giants are keen on signing a striker in the summer transfer window and have contacted the English attacker’s representatives. Meanwhile, the Bournemouth star is also a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, with the Cherries demanding £65 million to part ways with him.

The skyrocketing stock of Dominic Solanke

Dominic Solanke has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League since returning to the top flight with Bournemouth. The Cherries have made steady progress in the Premier League in the last two seasons, with the Englishman going from strength to strength with every passing month.

The 26-year-old was incredible in the 2023/24 season, amassing 21 goals and four assists in 42 appearances across all competitions, with 19 strikes leaving him joint-fourth in the Golden Boot race. Meanwhile, Solanke’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.

London return on the horizon?

Arsenal will likely part ways with Eddie Nketiah in the summer transfer window, although the England international striker’s move to Marseille has collapsed. Nevertheless, the Gunners need a new striker to take the next step in their evolution. Solanke has thus emerged as a viable target for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s interest in Dominic Solanke is understandable. The Blues are keen on signing a prolific striker in the summer transfer window after Nicolas Jackson blew hot and cold last season. The Bournemouth centre-forward has thus emerged as a viable target for Chelsea, although the West London giants do not want to pay £65 million to sign him.

As for Tottenham, the North London outfit did not sign a suitable replacement for Harry Kane last summer. So, Richarlison and Son Heung-min alternated in the centre-forward berth, although neither fits in the role. Solanke is thus an option worth considering, with Tottenham contacting his entourage.

In addition, the England international is open to joining Tottenham, which boosts the North London club’s prospects of securing his services. Meanwhile, they will look to sign Solanke for less than £65 million, while it will be interesting to see if Arsenal or Chelsea can beat them.
