Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in a battle with Arsenal and West Ham United over a deal to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke this summer.

According to Football Insider, Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is attracting interest from Tottenham, Arsenal, and West Ham United ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

After coming through Chelsea’s youth system, the 26-year-old joined Liverpool before signing for the Cherries back in 2019. Since his move to Vitality Stadium, the Englishman has steadily grown into a talismanic figure for the south coast outfit in recent times.

Solanke’s form this season for Bournemouth has been nothing short of remarkable, scoring 19 goals and registering four assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.

It’s a testament to his own personal growth that he is being linked with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, who are contending at the top of the table.

The above report further claims that Spurs are ready to set aside “big funds” to sign a new striker this summer and hold concrete interest in Solanke.

It has been suggested that although Bournemouth are aiming to get a fee of around £60 million for their star man, they could eventually accept around £45 million.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have been on the hunt for a new striker since the summer, and while Richarlison is showing signs of marked improvement when fit and firing, the north Londoners could do with the extra depth and quality up front.

Harry Kane’s departure had left Spurs initially reeling, but Postecoglou’s remarkable transformation of a dull Lilywhites side into a free-flowing, easy-on-the eye team has them competing for the top four. Heung-min Son’s red-hot form has also helped compensate for Kane’s absence.

West Ham United are also plotting a swoop for Solanke, so the Lilywhites are set to face fierce competition from their rivals to get any potential deal done for him.

With veteran forward Michail Antonio out of contract this summer and Danny Ings set to be a free agent in 2025, a reliable source of goals up front with Premier League experience could be just what West Ham need for the 2024/25 campaign.

Arsenal are also prioritising strengthening their frontline by signing a new striker this summer. Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, and Viktor Gyokeres have all been mentioned as serious targets, but Solanke is now emerging as a top target.

While they have done well to share the goals this season in the Premier League, a more clinical striker could prove to be a real difference-maker between title contenders and title winners next season.
