Manchester United revive interest in Benjamin Sesko

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Benjamin Sesko, a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, in the past.

A report from TEAMtalk has claimed that Manchester United have rekindled their interest in Benjamin Sesko, and they could look to make a move for him in the summer. The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on the youngster as well.

Sesko has a £42 million release clause in his contract, and Manchester United might have to trigger it in order to sign him in the summer. The striker has scored ten goals across all competitions this season, and he could prove to be a future investment for the Red Devils.

They need more depth in the attacking department, and Sesko could compete with Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund for a starting spot. The Slovenian international is highly-rated around Europe, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class attacker with the right guidance. Erik ten Hag did well to nurture talented young players during his time at Ajax and could bring out the best in the RB Leipzig forward as well.

The 20-year-old will be tempted to move to the Premier League if there is an opportunity in front of him. It would be a major step up in his career, and he would get to test himself against some of the best defenders in the world in England. The reported £42 million asking price might seem like a premium right now. But Sesko certainly has the attributes to justify the investment in the coming seasons.

Arsenal and Chelsea could use Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal need to bring in a talented young striker like Sesko. Gabriel Jesus has not been able to score goals consistently, and the 20-year-old could compete with him for the starting spot. The competition for places would help both players improve.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, they signed Nicolas Jackson to solve their goal scoring problems in the summer. But the ex-Villarreal striker has not been able to live up to the expectations. Chelsea need to bring in alternatives in the summer and Sesko could prove to be an upgrade.

The reported £42 million asking price is affordable for all three clubs, and it will be interesting to see where the 20-year-old striker ends up eventually.
