Michael Olise will favour a move to Manchester United over Chelsea

Manchester United have received a major boost in their pursuit of the 22-year-old Chelsea target Michael Olise.

According to Bobby Vincent, Manchester United and Chelsea are both keen on having Michael Olise in their ranks. The 22-year-old is a huge prospect for the future and his impressive performances of late have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe.

Olise was a part of the Arsenal, Chelsea as well as Manchester City youth ranks back in the day. Reading gave him his first taste of senior football and post that he joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021. Since joining the Eagles, he has featured in a total of 80 matches and has contributed towards 31 goals.

The 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength with every passing season and he is considered to be one of the best young talents around. While Olise prefers playing out wide on the right flank, he can even feature as an attacking midfielder or a central midfielder if needed.

The French youth international missed quite a few games at the start of the 2023-24 season because of injuries. But, since his return, the Palace winger has been on fire. In nine Premier League games, he has scored five goals and has an assist to his name. Those performances have resulted in a lot of interest from clubs across Europe.

Manchester United and Chelsea are two English clubs willing to make a move for him. The future of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood is not certain. And, Antony hasn’t been doing great either. As a result, a new return winger is a top priority and Olise could be an ideal fit.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, they prefer investing in young players who can go on to become something special. Olise has all the qualities to become an exceptional player and the Blues are keen on having him in their ranks.

But, the player prefers a move to Manchester United. He is a lifelong United supporter and dreams of playing for them. He is aware of the interest in him from both Premier League giants and it seems a move in the summer is on the cards. While the exact numbers are not clear, there is a release clause in his deal that becomes active in the summer and it could lead to his departure.
