Paris Saint-Germain will look to sell Barcelona target Neymar this summer while slapping a price tag of €150 million on him.
According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Neymar is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants are keeping tabs on his situation at Paris Saint-Germain, who will look to cash in on him this summer. Meanwhile, a separate update has revealed that PSG will look to recoup €150 million from the player’s sale.
Neymar has been an enigmatic player since joining Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record deal worth €222 million. The Brazilian international looked like a world-beater during his spell with Barcelona. But fitness issues and attitude problems have hampered his ongoing six-year stint with PSG.
The 31-year-old has still produced the goods, contributing to 35 goals in 29 appearances last term. He found the back of the net 18 times while providing 17 assists. But while Neymar’s numbers are impressive, he has become a divisive figure at PSG. So the Ligue 1 champions are ready to part ways with him this summer. And the situation has captured the attention of Barcelona.
Recent reports have painted a contradictory picture of Neymar’s links with Barcelona. The first updates suggested that the former Santos prodigy had offered himself to Barcelona. But Xavi Hernandez was reluctant to sanction a move. However, widespread claims have pointed to his desire to return to the Catalan club.

Meanwhile, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has been driving the move to re-sign the Brazilian forward this summer. And the report by SPORT claims that the Catalan giants are keeping close tabs on Neymar’s situation at PSG. So considering the Ligue 1 champions have put him up for sale, the update has handed a boost to Barcelona.
Meanwhile, a separate report by SPORT has claimed that PSG will look to recoup €150 million from Neymar’s sale. That valuation will rule Barcelona out of the race to sign the 31-year-old. However, the French heavyweights are open to sanctioning a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option.

That option might work in Barcelona’s favour, considering they cannot afford to splash €150 million on one player. And with Neymar keen on rejoining Barcelona, there is an outside chance of a summer deal materialising.
