Kai Havertz has been linked with a summer move away from Chelsea, and he was reportedly a target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Real Madrid have now cooled their interest in Kai Havertz, and they are looking at other alternatives. The Chelsea attacker is also a target for Arsenal.
Havertz has been quite underwhelming since his move to Stamford Bridge. He was brought in to lead the Chelsea attack, but he has not been able to deliver consistently. Despite playing a big part in the Champions League final victory over Manchester City, the German international has not been able to live up to the expectations. So Chelsea are prepared to cash in on him this summer.
It seems that Premier League rivals Arsenal are keen on signing the 24-year-old. But it will be interesting to see if the two parties can come to an agreement. Chelsea are in desperate need of someone who will score goals consistently and will be able to lead their attack.
Havertz is clearly not suited to that role and he is more of a number ten or a false line. Arsenal need to add more depth and quality to their attack, and 24-year-old German could be a good fit for them.
Arsenal already have strikers like Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun at their disposal. So Havertz will not be under pressure to score goals regularly. He can play his natural game and add creativity and sharpness to the attack.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will have to improve their attacking options as well, especially after the departure of Karim Benzema. The French striker has chosen to move to Saudi Arabia, and Real Madrid are yet to bring in his replacement. They have been linked with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe, among others.

The Spanish outfit have recently completed the signing of Jude Bellingham, and it remains to be seen whether they can pull off another big-money signing to land a striker. Kane and Mbappe are two of the best players in the world and could certainly fill the void left by Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu.
