The 21-year-old has been a key player for Everton this season, and his performances have caught the attention of a number of clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal. The Toffees paid £33 million to sign the talented young midfielder, and they could look to make a £30 million profit on him in the summer.
Chelsea could definitely use more quality in the middle of the park, and Onana would be a superb long-term acquisition. Mateo Kovacic and Enzo Fernandes are the only long-term options at the club right now. N’Golo Kante will be a free agent in the summer if he does not renew his contract.
So the Blues must look to bring in a quality midfielder in the coming months. The opportunity to play for Chelsea is likely to be an attractive option for the young Everton midfielder. And he might be tempted to move on if there is a concrete offer on the table.
