English Premier League Gameweek 37: Best bets for matches including Chelsea, Manchester United and more

We take a look at some of the potentially profitable markets from the 37th gameweek of the Premier League featuring Chelsea, Manchester United and more.

The penultimate gameweek of the 2018-19 Premier League is about to commence on Friday night, with Everton taking on Burnley in what is a rather inconsequential matchup other than maybe battling for a better portion of the league prize money pie depending on places.

Liverpool face a tough trip to St. James’ Park in order to keep their title hopes alive. Sunday sees three top four hopefuls with tricky matches of their own. Chelsea go up against a Watford side that look set to finish in the top half of the table while Manchester United will look to snap their woeful run of results when they travel to already relegated Huddersfield.

Arsenal have to deal with Brighton & Hove Albion, who are still in a relatively precarious position in 17th, only four points above the drop zone. Monday night sees Manchester City take on Leicester City, with Brendan Rodgers having a chance to help his former side Liverpool’s title dreams.

Before we move to the predictions, let us take a look at the result of the predictions from last gameweek.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool

With safety secured, Rafa Benitez and his men can still finish as high as 11th on the Premier League table, which will be quite an achievement considering their lack of signings and early season troubles. Liverpool though, will be keen to maintain the pressure on league leaders Manchester City.

Newcastle have not lost their last four home fixtures against Liverpool and will be keen to continue the trend as they look towards a better finish to their Premier League campaign. Expect a close game, with Newcastle likely to be the ones to finally break Liverpool’s winning streak.

Favourable Bets

1. Newcastle United Asian Handicap + 1.5 @ 1.775

2. Under 2.5 Match Goals @ 2.10

Underdog Bets

1. Under 1.5 Match Goals @ 4.33

Chelsea vs Watford

Despite their woeful recent form, Chelsea are somehow back in the lead over Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for a top four finish. Watford, on the other hand, have slipped up quite a bit and find themselves hovering in 10th at the moment. Their latest defeat was a narrow 1-2 loss to in-form side Wolves.

Historically, Watford are a side that have always posed questions for Chelsea, home or away. The Sunday matchup will likely be the same again, with Maurizio Sarri likely to have rested Eden Hazard during the midweek for the same reason. Expect Hazard to pop up with an important contribution. Watford, though, look good for a point, with Chelsea winless in their last five games in all competitions now.

Favourable Bets

1. Watford Asian Handicap + 1.5 @ 1.700

2. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.80

3. Eden Hazard to score anytime @ 1.83

Underdog Bets

1. Full Time Result – Draw or Watford @ 3.00

Huddersfield Town vs Manchester United

Given the battering they received at the hands of Liverpool recently, morale would be rock bottom for the home side, just like their place on the Premier League table. Huddersfield are likely to pose little threat but have shown that they won’t adopt an ultra defensive approach, since they are already relegated, leaving the players to enjoy their football.

The performances did improve prior to the Liverpool match and we can expect a better display against a struggling Manchester United side that just don’t seem to be getting it together, with errors left, right and centre. Expect an entertaining game, with the away side to earn all three points.

Favourable Bets

1. Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.66

2. Manchester United Asian Handicap – 1.5 @ 1.960

Underdog Bets

1. Mason Greenwood to score 2 or more @ 11.00

Arsenal vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Unai Emery has seen his side slip, from being comfortable leaders in the top four race to now a two-point deficit over Chelsea, thanks to their woeful run of results. Three losses in a row has seen them drop to fifth. Brighton will be wary that Cardiff can still surprise them and will not be leaving their fate in the hands of others. Expect another tough match-up for Arsenal.

Favourable Bets

1. Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.66

2. Arsenal Clean Sheet – NO @ 1.66

Underdog Bets

1. Full Time Result – Draw or Brighton @ 3.00

Miscellaneous Bets

Everton’s recent home form should carry them over the line against Burnley while Tottenham should be good for the money against Bournemouth. Manchester City should prevail over Leicester and we should see goals in other fixtures as well.

Favourable Bets

1. Everton to beat Burnley @ 1.61

2. Tottenham to beat Bournemouth @ 1.90

3. Manchester City vs Leicester – Manchester City Asian Handicap – 1.5 @ 1.500

4. Manchester City vs Leicester – Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.80

5. Wolves to beat Fulham @ 1.53

Underdog Bets

1. Cardiff vs Crystal Palace – Full Time Result – Draw @ 3.75
