Seven defeats in 12 Premier League matches does not make for a very good reading, for the defending champions. In fact, this is the worst start by any defending Champion, in Premier League history.
In spite of this, Jose Mourinho seems to have received special treatment from the very people who have not been so understanding with his predecessors.
However, according to reports, Chelsea FC have finally had enough of the “Special One” and seem to be intent on finding a replacement for him. After holding the horrific record of being the first Chelsea manager under the Abramovich reign to slump to three straight defeats, Mourinho seems to be standing on shaky ground.

In fact, the club seems to have already prepared for “contingency” plans in case Mourinho is sacked, or parts ways with Chelsea FC. In fact, according to Sunday Express, Chelsea is all set to invite three managers to the club in order to ask them to take over in the summer of 2016.
Reportedly, two of these are former Chelsea FC managers — Guus Hiddink and Roberto Di Matteo — who took the team to Champions League glory. The third one is former Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers.
Chelsea FC are also reported to have been in contact with another of their former managers Carlo Ancelotti, but the Premier League winner seems to have been more intent on joining a long-term job.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has also been reportedly approached by the Blues, but he seems to be intent on staying at the Madrid-based club for some time now.
Players are behind the manager, but Mourinho’s future seems uncertain
Although the players have come out in support of Chelsea FC, his future seems pretty grim at the club right now. There have also been rumours that Chelsea owner is trying to get Pep Guardiola to the West London side. The Blues fans have been vocal about their support for their manager too, but that is not likely to amount to much considering that Chelsea FC keep losing one match after the other.
It would be interesting to see whether Abramovich waits till Chelsea FC descends into the relegation zone, before giving Mourinho the sack, or whether he indeed sticks by his manager of choice.
