Chelsea hold fresh talks to sign Noah Sadiki, Manchester United better-placed for summer move

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks for Noah Sadiki, with Manchester United set to battle for the midfielder’s signature.

Noah Sadiki could be headed out of Sunderland amid reports of widespread interest in the midfielder. As per Sacha Tavolieri, Chelsea have held talks over the midfielder’s availability, with the Sunderland star yet to make up his mind on his future.

Noah Sadiki’s impressive first season in the Premier League could already bring a few clubs to the table to try and sign him. The midfielder has been immense in Sunderland’s push for a top-half finish in their first season back.

Transfer speculation is rife about his immediate future at the club, amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea in the midfielder. A move to either of those teams will represent a stellar switch for the midfielder, but much will depend on Sunderland’s asking price in any deal.

Yet, the midfielder has shown enough for top-six sides to invest significantly, with Chelsea now holding fresh talks for Sadiki. The Blues might be looking into the market for a new midfielder, which could spell the end for Romeo Lavia or serve as a possible replacement for Enzo Fernandez.

Chelsea could angle for taking an early lead in the race so as to wrap up a move before competition swoops in. The club are also in a steady financial position to invest significantly in talents like the 21-year-old Premier League midfielder.

Manchester United better placed for Noah Sadiki?

Manchester United and Chelsea are the leading contenders for Sadiki, with the former looking intently at the midfielder to become a part of their rebuild. The Red Devils are conducting a midfield revamp of sorts, as a few new additions are expected in the summer. The prospect of Champions League football next season is an additional feature of their market activities, which has Sadiki interested.

Sadiki might prefer Manchester United at the moment, given their certainty about playing in the Champions League. It is yet to be clear how much Sunderland would demand for the 21-year-old midfielder, which could dictate the flow of this move in the market.
