Moises Caicedo, Levi Colwill set to sign new Chelsea contracts

Chelsea have now agreed a bumper new contract with Moises Caicedo, and Levi Colwill is reportedly expected to follow suit.

Moises Caicedo has been exceptional since joining Chelsea from Brighton, and he has been one of the best defensive midfielders in European football. The Ecuadorian international will be a key player for Chelsea in the coming seasons as well, and it is no surprise the Blues have wanted to secure his long-term future.

According to a report from Cesar Luis Merlo and Jose Alberto Molestina on Havoline Deportivo, the South American midfielder has agreed to a bumper new deal with the London club, and he will be among the West London club’s top three earners.

Meanwhile, a report from The Times has claimed that talented young defender Colwill is set to commit to the club for the long run as well. The homegrown defender has been on the sidelines due to a long-term knee injury, but there is no doubt that he is a tremendous talent with a bright future.

Chelsea need to keep players like him at the club if they want to build a formidable team for the future. The Englishman is a big part of their future, and his signing a new deal would be a huge boost. Colwill has been sidelined since August 2025, and he has missed 51 games since then.

Chelsea have endured a mediocre 2025/26 campaign, and they are fighting for Champions League qualification for next season. The Blues will be hoping to fight for league titles once again, and they need to improve the team in the coming months. In addition to signing world-class stars, they need to keep their best players.

Caicedo and Colwill are extremely important to their future plans, and the fans will be delighted that the two players will continue at Chelsea for the long run. It remains to be seen whether they can plug the gaps in their squad during the summer window and bounce back strongly next season. For now, they will be focused on finishing the season strongly and securing a place in the top five.
