Bayern Munich unwilling to sell Aleksandar Pavlovic this summer

Bayern Munich will not entertain any offers for 21-year-old German international Aleksandar Pavlovic in the summer transfer window amid his links with Premier League clubs.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United are interested in Aleksandar Pavlovic. The three Premier League giants are keen on reinforcing their first-team squads by signing a versatile midfielder in the coming months. However, Bayern Munich will not accept any bids for the 21-year-old midfield sensation this summer.

The rapid rise of Aleksandar Pavlovic

Aleksandar Pavlovic has established himself as one of the world’s most promising young midfielders since breaking into the first-team squad at Bayern Munich. The 21-year-old spent his formative years in Germany, passing through the academies at SC Olching and SC Furstenfeldbruck before graduating from the youth division at Bayern Munich.

Pavlovic has made nearly 100 appearances for Bayern Munich thus far, chipping in with six goals and four assists. Meanwhile, the German midfielder’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Premier League giants, in particular, have been interested in Pavlovic, with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

A man in demand

Manchester United will dip into the market for a holding midfielder ahead of the 2026/27 season, as they are preparing for Casemiro’s departure as a free agent. With Manuel Ugarte being a liability since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain, the Red Devils need a top-class defensive midfielder. Pavlovic has thus emerged as a viable target for Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s long-standing interest in Aleksandar Pavlovic makes sense. Rodri has not been at his best after spending a significant time in the treatment room over the last 18 months. Additionally, the Spanish international is a long-term target for Real Madrid, and recent reports have suggested a summer exit may be on the cards. So, Pavlovic is an option worth considering for Manchester City.

As for Chelsea, Enzo Fernandez faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge after his comments during the international break invited trouble from Liam Rosenior. While the two parties have mended fences, it is unclear if he will remain at Stamford Bridge beyond the 2025/26 season. So, with Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo struggling with fitness issues this season, it behoves Chelsea to consider a move for Pavlovic.

However, with Bayern Munich having no interest in cashing in on the 21-year-old German international, Chelsea, along with Manchester United and Manchester City, must look elsewhere for a new midfielder. The Bavarian club’s stance makes sense, as Pavlovic can be a long-term successor to Leon Goretzka, who will depart from the Allianz Arena as a free agent this summer.
