Chelsea will reportedly look to sign 24-year-old Serbian international Strahinja Pavlovic from AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a centre-back in the upcoming transfer window.
The latest report has revealed that the 2024/25 UEFA Europa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup winners have contacted the Serb’s entourage over a possible summer move. Meanwhile, AC Milan will demand around €40 million to part ways with Pavlovic ahead of the 2026/27 season.
How has Strahinja Pavlovic performed for AC Milan?
Strahinja Pavlovic has made substantial progress since joining AC Milan from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2024. Born in Sabac, the 24-year-old spent his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at three clubs and graduating from the youth division at FK Partizan Belgrade. Since then, he has represented clubs in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy.
Pavlovic has been a regular for AC Milan in the last two seasons, amassing over 5,000 minutes of game time in 65 appearances thus far. Meanwhile, the 52-cap Serbian international has been a regular for his national side, and exploits for his club and country have piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for a centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window, as they want a long-term central defensive partner for Levi Colwill.
