Newcastle United uninterested in selling Lewis Hall

Newcastle United will not entertain any offers for 21-year-old English international Lewis Hall this summer amid his links with Liverpool and Manchester United.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in Lewis Hall. The three Premier League heavyweights are keen on reinforcing their defensive units by signing a left-back in the summer transfer window. However, a deal for the Newcastle United whizkid may not materialise, as the Magpies “have no intention of allowing” him to leave in the coming months.

How has Lewis Hall fared at Newcastle United?

Lewis Hall has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Premier League since joining Newcastle United from Chelsea in a deal worth £35 million. Born in Slough, the Englishman began his youth career with Binfield FC before graduating from the fabled academy at Chelsea after spending over a decade with the West London outfit. However, the 21-year-old has risen in prominence during his spell with Newcastle United.

Hall has been a mainstay at the back for the Tyneside outfit in the last two and a half years, making nearly 100 appearances thus far while chipping in with three goals and seven assists. The English international has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs with his exploits for Newcastle United, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United among his prospective suitors.

A man in demand

It is unclear why Arsenal may dip into the market for a left-back in the summer transfer window. Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie have been exceptional in the 2025/26 season, and recent reports have claimed that the Gunners are ready to complete a permanent move for the latter. So, it is unclear how Hall will fit into the scheme of things at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hall has been on Liverpool’s wishlist for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, as Andrew Robertson’s long-term future is uncertain due to his expiring contract. With the Scottish international yet to sign a new deal with Liverpool, the Reds must dip their toes in the market for a left-back who can be an alternative to Milos Kerkez.

As for Manchester United, the Red Devils are combing the market for a left-back heading into the summer transfer window, as Luke Shaw is on the wrong side of 30. Additionally, Patrick Dorgu is seemingly transitioning into an attacking role. So, Manchester United must sign a new left-back, as they need an alternative to Shaw for a more taxing season.

However, a summer move for the Newcastle United left-back will be a tall order for Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United, as the Magpies have no interest in entertaining bids for the 21-year-old Englishman. The decision-makers at the Tyneside club are relaxed about the situation, and a departure may not be on the cards.
