Manchester City rival Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham in Felix Nmecha chase

Manchester City are ready to enter the race and battle Premier League rivals for Borussia Dortmund’s key midfielder Felix Nmecha.

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester City are ready to rival Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham for the signing of Felix Nmecha. The dynamic Borussia Dortmund midfielder has put in some impressive performances since his move there from Wolfsburg, and the Premier League might be the next destination to further his career.

Felix Nmecha has grown into one of the top midfield names in the Bundesliga following his rise at Borussia Dortmund. Under the tutelage of Niko Kovac, the German international has been a dynamic presence, playing a box-to-box role and often contributing with key goal contributions.

Nmecha is aware of the growing interest from elsewhere, particularly from the Premier League, where Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea are keen. Manchester City are the latest to enter the race for the midfielder, as Pep Guardiola likes the midfielder’s profile for his squad.

Manchester City did sign Tijjani Reijnders in the summer, but of late, the Dutchman has been relegated to a bench role following the rise of Nico O’Reilly as a central midfielder. Hence, there’s a big chance that Guardiola’s side makes a move for Felix Nmecha, as Borussia Dortmund could sell if their valuation of €70 million is met.

Manchester City are not alone in the race, with Manchester United keen on Nmecha ahead of the summer. The Red Devils are angling for a midfield revamp in the squad, as there are a few players who might leave, with Nmecha a name on their list alongside some other high-profile ones.

Felix Nmecha to the Premier League?

Nmecha also has Chelsea’s persistent interest, with the Londoners keen to keep bolstering different areas of the pitch, including the midfield, despite having some formidable names in the position. The future upside in value of the €70 million-rated Bundesliga midfielder could be a key factor for the Blues to invest, as they must compete with other teams who might actually give him a promising role in their sides.

That could be the case with Tottenham, who are keen to bolster their midfield with options like Nmecha. The north Londoners are prepared to pay big for new players, but they must achieve survival this term to achieve their transfer targets in the summer.
