Chelsea, Liverpool can sign Gleison Bremer for over €70 million

Cardiff City vs Chelsea: Preview and Prediction ahead of their EFL Cup quarter final tie on Tuesday night.

Juventus may cash in on 28-year-old Brazilian international Gleison Bremer in the summer transfer window if they receive a bid worth over €70 million.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in Gleison Bremer. The two Premier League clubs are keen on reinforcing their defensive units by signing a centre-back in the summer transfer window. So, the 28-year-old Juventus defender has emerged as a target for them.

However, Chelsea and Liverpool will not be alone in the battle for Bremer’s signature, as he is also a target for Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Juventus may cash in on the South American centre-back in the summer transfer window if they receive a bid worth over €70 million.

How has Gleison Bremer fared at Juventus?

Gleison Bremer has been one of the most dependable defenders in Serie A for over half a dozen years. The 28-year-old spent his formative years in Brazil, and he arrived in Europe by joining Torino in July 2018. The South American defender spent four years at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino before moving across Turin by joining Juventus in July 2022.

The move to Juventus has been beneficial for Bremer as he has made considerable progress by establishing a foothold in his national team. The Brazilian international has made over 100 appearances for the Bianconeri thus far, chipping in with 11 goals and four assists. Meanwhile, Bremer’s progress at Juventus has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Tottenham.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Gleison Bremer has been on Chelsea’s wishlist for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, as Axel Disasi has no future at Stamford Bridge. Additionally, Wesley Fofana has struggled with fitness issues throughout his spell with the West London club. So, Bremer is a viable target for Chelsea.

As for Liverpool, the Reds hold a long-standing interest in Bremer. The Reds are also scouring the market for a centre-back, as Ibrahima Konate faces an uncertain future at the Merseyside club after entering the final six months of his contract. Additionally, Virgil van Dijk is on the wrong side of 30 and approaching the twilight of his career.

However, Chelsea and Liverpool will not be alone in the battle for Bremer’s signature, as he is also a target for Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Juventus may cash in on the 28-year-old Brazilian international in the summer transfer window if they receive a bid worth over €70 million.
