Chelsea rival Aston Villa, Barcelona, Tottenham in Fisnik Asllani chase

Chelsea are ready to rival a host of other teams in the chase for Fisnik Asllani, with the Blues looking to add a striker for competition next summer.

According to Fichajes, Fisnik Asllani is attracting massive interest in the market following his breakthrough performances this season at Hoffenheim. The Kosovan international could be achieved for a modest price compared to some of the other striker options in the market, with the Blues eager to explore a move ahead of their rivals, such as Aston Villa, Barcelona and Tottenham.

Chelsea are planning to improve all facets of their squad, with particular focus on the goal-scoring positions. The Blues splashed heavily into signing two strikers in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, but neither of them guarantees ample goals consistently.

Chelsea would be open to adding another striker, and that has been on their agenda, with a host of names linked. There have been links to Julian Alvarez as an example, but the high costs involved in signing the Argentine could scupper the idea altogether for the Blues.

Another name of late has been that of Stade Rennais’s teenage striker, Mohamed Kader Meite, with the idea bright and fitting in with their overall profile. However, there’s a fresh option that Chelsea are considering in Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani, who is having a breakthrough campaign in Germany.

Aston Villa, Barcelona and Tottenham were linked with Asllani earlier, with the attacker’s 12-goal involvement campaign still keeping him on those radars. However, Chelsea are now looking to get ahead of their rivals i. the hope of securing a top talent for a modest price, which the report claims could be in the €30 million mark.

Chelsea to land Fisnik Asllani?

The likes of Aston Villa, Barcelona and Tottenham have all looked at the striker, but it appears, Chelsea are ready to push for many reasons. Firstly, they believe the 12 G/A Bundesliga striker’s ability and the costs involved may have a huge upside in the future, compared to some of the more expensive options available.

Secondly, the Blues are looking to add someone who may not disrupt their plans to generate healthy competition among their ranks. They believe Asllani would be ideal to bring the best out of Delap and Pedro in terms of building pressure through competition, which in turn would help the club in solving a massive goalscoring issue up front.
