According to Fichajes, Jeremy Monga is the name on the list of Manchester City and Chelsea, with the Premier League duo looking to invest big in the teenage talent. The top-tier sides are open to forking out €25 million to sign the 16-year-old English wonderkid, with Leicester City confident of keeping him.

Jeremy Monga became the second youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League when he made his Leicester City debut last season. Ruud van Nistelrooy was the man to hand the player the opportunity, as the 16-year-old English wonderkid is only behind Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri, who remains the youngest player ever to play in the top flight.

Monga caught the attention of many clubs in the top division since his debut, with Manchester City and Chelsea among those very keen on the teenager. The two Premier League giants are now eager to accelerate their pursuit of the 16-year-old English wonderkid and are ready to invest heavily in securing his signature.

The Premier League duo are revered for their track record of chasing some of the best young talents from around and developing them into bona fide stars. They might have a similar plan for Monga in the near future, with Manchester City and Chelsea willing to invest €25 million into signing the 16-year-old English wonderkid

Manchester City and Chelsea had also tracked Nwaneri as an example since he made his debut, but he has since signed a new deal with Arsenal. Monga might be the next best teenager in the market at the moment after maybe Nwaneri, Rio Ngumoha and Max Dowman, with regards ot his talents and how close he is to becoming a regular star for a Premier League side.

Leicester City to sell Jeremy Monga?

The reported €25 million idea might seem good enough for a player of Monga’s age and the value he currently holds in the market. Leicester City had plans to block any exit for Monga amid heavy interest, and they plan to stick by it moving forward.

With the player only 16, there’s always the chance of being lured away by one of the top suitors, in this case, Chelsea or Manchester City. However, Leicester City are confident of convincing the player that staying at the King Power would allow his game development a better pathway rather than risking it over at one of the Premier League big boys.
