Chelsea are keen on signing record-breaking Eredivisie youngster Jadiel Pereira da Gama ahead of rivals Manchester City and Tottenham.
According to Team Talk, Eredivisie’s record-breaking youngster Jadiel Pereira da Gama is a big target for some of the big Premier League sides. Chelsea are the ones aiming to beat competition from the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham to win the race for the 15-year-old Dutch midfield prodigy.
Jadiel Pereira da Gama is a name that has slipped through the ranks, given there have been a lot of high-profile young stars on the rise. The 15-year-old Dutch midfield prodigy has been a regular fixture for his team, PEC Zwolle, making seven first-team appearances this season.
Having made his debut back in August against Telstar made him the youngest ever debutant in the Eredivisie, beating the previous record set by Wim Kras back in 1959 by 47 days. Da Gama is already showing plenty of signs of being a future star at club and international level, that some of the Premier League sides are already showing big interest.
Given his age and adhering to regulations, should one of Chelsea, Manchester City or Tottenham manage to sign him now, Da Gama will only be able to move to England in January 2028. Hence, the English top-flight sides are willing to place their bets on the 15-year-old Dutch midfield prodigy right now rather than later, when he could go for a much higher price.
Moreover, signing him now would allow his steady growth at PEC Zwolle without any hitch, as currently the 15-year-old Dutch midfield prodigy is showing all possible signs to become a first-team regular by next year. Now the big question is who will be able to sign him, as Chelsea are eager to get ahead of the competition.
Chelsea to win the Jadiel Pereira da Gama race?
Chelsea and the BlueCo Group are pushing the hardest to get a deal in place, as they have done with a number of other players across the world. The Blues have a good track record of developing young talents through their youth sides, but they always open the door to the first team if the talent shines.
Meanwhile, Manchester City and Tottenham are also revered for their youth recruitment and their development of young stars. In the case of the 15-year-old Dutch midfield prodigy, he will have a big choice to make to choose between one of those clubs, as Chelsea might be the one pushing to get a deal in place at the moment, ahead of the other two rivals.
