According to TEAMtalk, Valentino Livramento is a key target for Manchester City as Pep Guardiola’s side are reportedly readying a £65 million offer. The defender is a top-most priority for the Catalan manager, as there’s further competition from the likes of Manchester United and former side Chelsea.
Newcastle United have a big task at hand regarding the future of Valentino Livramento. The defender is attracting massive interest in the market, following his rise in stature at St James Park over the last few years. Eddie Howe considers him a key part, as he continues to push the club to get a renewal in place.
Newcastle United are confident of a renewal, although the interest from some of the biggest clubs in the land is making things complicated. Former side Chelsea are one of his big admirers, as they would be interested in bringing their former academy star back to Stamford Bridge, as his attributes suit what Enzo Maresca wants from his defensive setup.
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim also feels the need for a versatile defender with high running power to come in and make one of the wing-back positions their own. Livramento is seen as a key profile in that aspect, but the major player in the race is Manchester City.

Newcastle United are indeed interested in the keeper, but they are not overly keen to sell Livramento to bring in a new stopper. Moreover, the Magpies value the 23-year-old wide man at a higher price point, meaning Manchester City may have to fork out significantly more.
Manchester City might have to stump up a significant outlay in January if they desire to sign Livramento then. The summer window might make more sense as calmer heads will prevail, as Guardiola’s side could make a concerted effort then to sign Livramento.
