Manchester City prepared to pay €120 million to sign Estevao Willian

Manchester City are planning an audacious €120 million offer to test Chelsea’s resolve on Willian in an attempt to pull off a big transfer.

According to Fichajes, Manchester City are planning to make an audacious €120 million offer to sign Estevao Willian. Such a bid could test Chelsea’s resolve on the Brazilian teenager, although the Blues may not lean towards a sale irrespective of the offer price.

Estevao Willian chose Chelsea over many other prestigious clubs, with Real Madrid also linked at the time. Having arrived in the summer, the winger has made the necessary impact on proceedings, as he is already primed to be one of the top stars in his position in the future.

There are already comparisons between him and Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka, among others. That shows his tremendous rise in stature, and Chelsea may have found a gem in the transfer market that they could build their team around in the future.

Manchester City are now showing big interest in the 18-year-old wonderkid, as they are now planning an audacious €120 million bid to test Chelsea’s resolve. The West Londoners are known to prioritise profit on young players, and that could be a reason why Pep Guardiola’s side are thinking about a potential bid.

However, Chelsea are not known to sell players they deem are important for their own sporting project, such as Enzo Fernandez or Moises Caicedo. They had also signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City, and now, they view the 18-year-old wonderkid Estevao as a key part for the present and future.

Why are Manchester City keen on Estevao?

Pep Guardiola may have made a calculated mistake by keeping Savinho, with the winger now open to a winter exit amid Tottenham’s interest. Manchester City are ready to enter the January market to replace the Brazilian with Estevao, seen from that angle as a potential option on their right wing for years to come. The 18-year-old wonderkid from Chelsea is not their only target, with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes another name on the list.

Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye was also linked earlier, but now, with the Estevao links, Manchester City are serious about recruiting a top name in that position. However, in the case of the 18-year-old wonderkid, Chelsea are unlikely to sell him to anyone, let alone Manchester City, who are now viewed as their direct rivals for the title.
