Bayern Munich offer €75 million to sign Dani Olmo from Barcelona

Bayern Munich will reportedly look to sign 27-year-old Spanish international Dani Olmo from Barcelona in a deal worth €75 million next year.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Dani Olmo is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile playmaker. So, the 27-year-old Barcelona attacker has emerged as a target for Die Roten, with the Bavarian giants offering €75 million to secure his services.

Dani Olmo and his Barcelona return

Dani Olmo has endured a topsy-turvy ride since rejoining Barcelona from RB Leipzig last year. The Blaugrana broke the bank to re-sign the Spaniard. However, the player has not justified the outlay, as he has spent considerable time on the sidelines due to fitness issues throughout his stint with the Catalan outfit.

The injury woes have continued into the 2025/26 season, as Olmo has managed only 711 minutes of game time across 13 appearances in all competitions thus far while chipping in with one goal and two assists. However, the 27-year-old remains a pivotal figure for Barcelona under Hansi Flick.

Additionally, the Spanish international remains highly sought-after in the market despite his sketchy fitness record. A return to the Bundesliga may be on the cards, with Bayern Munich among the prospective suitors vying for his signature. The Bundesliga champions have submitted a bid worth €75 million to secure Olmo’s services next year.

Bundesliga return on the horizon?

Dani Olmo has been on Bayern Munich’s radar for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, as Vincent Kompany has preferred versatility in his attackers. Harry Kane has displayed that best, as he has reprised the no. 10 role when Kompany has used Nicolas Jackson as the centre-forward.

Meanwhile, Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, Luis Diaz, and Nicolas Jackson can also reprise multiple roles in the final third. So, Olmo has emerged as a viable target for Bayern Munich, as he can play on either flank or centrally behind the striker. The Bavarian giants have offered €75 million to secure the Spaniard’s services next year.

While the report has not revealed Barcelona’s stance on potentially accepting Bayern Munich’s bid of €75 million, the financial struggles may force them to consider a sale. With the Blaugrana eager to bolster the offensive unit, recouping €75 million from the 27-year-old Spanish playmaker’s sale may be on the cards.
