Jarrod Bowen could seek West Ham United exit if poor results continue

Jarrod Bowen may decide to leave West Ham United next summer if results do not improve under Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to a report by Football Insider, Jarrod Bowen faces an uncertain future at West Ham United. While the English international is happy at the East London club, he is eager to play “at the top level” and may seek a departure from the London Stadium if results do not improve under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Jarrod Bowen and his career so far

Jarrod Bowen has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League since joining West Ham United from Hull City in a deal worth over £20 million in January 2020. A native of Leominster, the Englishman spent his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at Leominster Minors and Hereford United before graduating from the youth division at Hull City.

The 28-year-old rose in prominence during his spell with Hull City before West Ham signed him nearly half a dozen years ago. Bowen hit the ground running at the East London club, and he has established himself as a talismanic figure for his team. The player’s exploits have also helped him break into his national team.

The English international has made nearly 250 appearances thus far for West Ham, amassing 77 goals and 52 assists. Meanwhile, Bowen’s exploits for the East London club have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs.

What next?

Premier League bigwigs, in particular, have been keen on signing Jarrod Bowen for several years, with Liverpool among his long-term suitors. However, the former Hull City attacker has remained committed to West Ham United, signing a long-term contract with the Premier League outfit two years ago.

Additionally, considering the 28-year-old Englishman’s stature at West Ham, it has been a tall order to convince West Ham to part ways with him. However, the situation may change soon, as the Hammers have struggled since the 2024/25 season, and they have been dreadful in the first few weeks of the 2025/26 campaign.

Graham Potter did not even last a year at West Ham, and the Hammers have replaced the English tactician with Nuno Espirito Santo. However, if results under the Portuguese manager do not improve, Bowen will seek a new adventure next summer, as the English international “wants to play at the top level” during his peak years.
