Italian giants AC Milan and AS Roma are set to rival Chelsea and Tottenham in their pursuit of Rayan Vitor.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Rayan Vitor could soon be heading to Europe as multiple top clubs have their eyes set on him. AS Roma and AC Milan have had him on their shortlist for some time. Meanwhile, he has popped up on Chelsea and Tottenham’s radar on quite a few occasions.
Rayan has come up the ranks at Vasco da Gama and has been a part of their first team setup since the summer of 2023. The 19-year-old winger has only gone from strength to strength over the years and has already established himself as a key figure in the team.
His performances have attracted a lot of interest. Clubs from the Middle East were ready to hand him a significant financial package, but he wasn’t keen on joining them. While he gave the green light to a move to FC Porto, the Portuguese club failed to strike a deal with the Brazilian outfit despite a €12 million offer.
While he ended up staying at his childhood club, he is unlikely to be around for long, as the biggest clubs are after his signature. AC Milan and AS Roma have been monitoring him for a long while. They seek more quality in the final, and their sporting directors are very keen on signing him, as he will add depth in the short term and can become one of their mainstays in the long run.
Chelsea and Tottenham continue to monitor Rayan
Both Italian clubs are yet to submit an offer, but they do rate him very highly and will surely make an attempt in the future. They are set to provide tough competition to Chelsea and Tottenham, who are scouting him ahead of a potential transfer.
Chiefs from both clubs have watched him in action on multiple occasions. They really like the left-footed winger’s profile and will certainly have an advantage over Italian clubs in terms of finance.
Roma can’t sign him in winter with all their non-EU spots already full. Meanwhile, Milan will struggle to compete with Chelsea and Tottenham, who won’t have any problems even if the price goes up to €25-30 million.
He already has a €40 million release clause, but his contract runs out at the end of 2026; as a result, the Brazilian club are looking to agree a new deal, which could help raise the clause and secure his future.
