Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing 20-year-old Turkish international Kenan Yildiz from Serie A club Juventus next year.
According to a report by Italian outlet Bianconera News, Kenan Yildiz is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker next year, and they are ready to sound out a move for the Juventus prodigy. Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen on signing the Turkish international, but signing him from the Serie A club will be improbable.
Kenan Yildiz and his meteoric rise at Juventus
Kenan Yildiz has established himself as one of the best players in Serie A since breaking into the first-team squad at Juventus. The Regensburg native spent most of his formative years in Germany and rose in prominence during his spell with Bayern Munich. However, the Turkish international graduated from the youth division at Juventus.
The 20-year-old broke into the first-team squad at Juventus at the onset of the 2023/24 season, and he has made considerable progress since then. Yildiz has made nearly 100 appearances thus far for the Serie A club while chipping in with 18 goals and 15 assists. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several bigwigs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
A man in demand
Arsenal wanted to sign Kenan Yildiz in the summer transfer window, but the deal failed to materialise. The continued interest makes sense, even though Mikel Arteta has a stacked offensive unit. However, Leandro Trossard’s long-term future at the Emirates is uncertain, compelling Arsenal to seek a replacement from the market. They are ready to sound Yildiz out over a move.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s interest in Kenan Yildiz is understandable. The Blues are scouring the market for a versatile attacker amid uncertainties surrounding Facundo Buonanotte’s long-term future, as the West London giants have not included a purchase option in the loan agreement with Juventus. So, Yildiz is a viable target for Chelsea.
As for Manchester United, Yildiz is an ideal fit in Ruben Amorim’s system at Old Trafford. While the Portuguese tactician’s long-term future is uncertain, Yildiz’s ability and versatility make him an appealing target for Manchester United. The Turk’s €1.5 million-a-year wages make him an attractive option for the three Premier League clubs.
However, a move for the 20-year-old Turkish international will not materialise, as the youngster is committed to Juventus. Additionally, the Serie A giants are in talks with Yildiz over a new contract that will take his annual salary from €1.5 million to €6 million. So, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United must look elsewhere for a versatile attacker.
