The Gunners are keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a versatile centre-back in the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old Bayer Leverkusen defender has emerged as a target for the North London club.
The Premier League heavyweights are keen on securing a loan deal with a purchase obligation clause, hoping to close the package at around €50 million. Additionally, Arsenal will aim to finalise the move before the weekend. The South American defender has a release clause worth €60 million in his contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
