Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus keen on Raheem Sterling

Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are both interested in acquiring the services of Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling.

Raheem Sterling has no future at Chelsea and is expected to secure a move away from the London club this summer. According to Ben Jacobs, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are both keen on signing the English international.

Sterling was at the peak of his powers while he was playing for Manchester City back in the day. He parted ways with Pep Guardiola’s team to join Chelsea in the summer of 2022. While he did a decent job for the Blues, the 30-year-old didn’t really live up to the expectations.

They ended up sending him out on loan to rivals Arsenal for last season. While Mikel Arteta is a massive admirer of Sterling, the Liverpool graduate only had limited game time under the Spanish boss. He featured in 28 matches and contributed towards just six goals.

Following his disappointing loan spell, he is back at Chelsea. While he still has two years left on his deal, he is not a part of Enzo Maresca’s plans moving ahead. They have already added a lot of firepower to their attack this summer and are expected to make a few more additions before the window shuts.

While Sterling has been involved in pre-season training for the last two weeks, the Blues are working hard to find him a new club. They will soon present him with options and are willing to sanction his departure for £20 million.

Leverkusen & Juventus are plotting a raid on Chelsea

The former Manchester City star might not have been at his best in recent years, but he still has a lot of football left in him, and there are clubs that are willing to bet on him. Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are two clubs that seem to be interested in his signature.

The German club seek more quality in the final third, having lost their star Florian Wirtz this summer. Erik ten Hag feels Sterling could prove to be a valuable addition to their squad. Meanwhile, Juventus are already in the market for a new winger, and the Chelsea star could be an interesting option for them.

He certainly has the ability to unbalance opposition defenders with his pace and dribbling. The 30-year-old will also bring a lot of experience, and his finishing will be an added bonus. However, it will be interesting to see if either of the clubs are willing to meet the London club’s demands.
