Real Madrid are uninterested in selling the Brazilian attacker Vinicius Junior despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.
According to TBR Football, Chelsea and Manchester City have been hoping to sign 24-year-old Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, but they have been dealt a crushing blow in their pursuit of the South American attacker.
Vinicius is one of the best players in the world, and it is no surprise that Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on him. However, Real Madrid are looking to build a formidable squad capable of winning major trophies regularly, and they will not want to sell one of the best places in the world. It is no surprise that they want to keep him at the club for the long term.
Chelsea and Man City need attacking reinforcements
Chelsea could certainly use more quality and cutting edge in the final third. It will be interesting to see if they can bring a dynamic attacker like Vinicius Junior in the summer. Chelsea have secured UEFA Champions League qualification for the 2025/26 season, and they will be looking to attract top-quality players during the summer transfer window.
The Blues will need to improve the squad if they want to do well in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League next season. On the other hand, Manchester City are in need of quality additions as well. Kevin De Bruyne will leave the club upon the expiry of his contract, and they will need to replace the creative void left by him.
Apart from that, Manchester City should look to invest in a quality wide player as well. Players like Jack Grealish are expected to move on in the summer. It has been a disappointing season for Manchester City, and they have missed out on a trophy this season.
The Citizens will look to bounce strongly and fight for major trophies once again. Signing quality players will make a huge difference. As far as Vinicius Junior is concerned, he is an indispensable asset for Real Madrid, and he will look to continue winning major trophies with them in the coming seasons.
