Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the Brazilian international and would love to have him in their ranks. The Premier League giants are willing to do everything in their power to get the transfer over the line.
Rodrygo arrived at Madrid back in the summer of 2019 after coming up the ranks at Santos. He joined Los Blancos as one of the youngsters in the game and has certainly lived up to the expectations. He has won two Champions League titles during his time at the club and has played a massive part in both those triumphs.
While he remains an integral part of their first team, he might not remain a regular starter for them going forward. The arrival of Kylian Mbappe last summer has already complicated things at Madrid as they now have three natural left-wingers playing across the front line.
Rodrygo has continued to feature on the right flank and has done a good job this season with 13 goals and 10 assists. However, internal competition and the potential arrival of new names in attack could result in reduced game time.
