Andrey Santos and his frustrating Chelsea stint
Andrey Santos has endured a frustrating spell since joining Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in a deal worth £20 million in January 2023. However, the South American midfielder has been away from the West London club in the last two years, embarking on loan spells with Vasco da Gama, Nottingham Forest, and RC Strasbourg.
Chelsea’s sister club initially signed the 20-year-old midfield prospect in February 2024, and he has been with the Ligue 1 club since then. Santos has contributed to 15 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions this season, finding the back of the net ten times and providing five assists.
Meanwhile, Santos’s exploits at RC Strasbourg have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Recent reports have linked the Brazilian midfield whizkid with European bigwigs like AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. However, the report by TEAMtalk does not mention those outfits.
