Aston Villa are advancing in their pursuit of highly-rated Norwegian talent Sverre Nypan, as they could beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.
According to TBR, Aston Villa have held advanced talks with Severee Nypan and his camp over the last few days as there’s a belief they will win the race for the Norwegian talent. Unai Emery’s side could beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City for the 18-year-old Scandinavian whizkid target.
Sverre Nypan’s name emerged in many media reports during the final stretch of the January window, as he appeared close to leaving Rosenborg for a new adventure in English football. The attacking midfielder has been revered for his talent, as a host of top clubs were chasing his signature at one stage including The City Football Group as well as Manchester United.
Arsenal also entered the race, and at one stage they were the favourites to land him in January. However, Nyopan decided to stay at Rosenborg and begin the new season in Norway, which was indicative of the player’s desire to carefully evaluate all the offers he has on the table.
He’s expected to decide on his next club before the Premier League season ends, as Aston Villa are advancing in the race. Unai Emery’s side as well as Arsenal were holding talks with Nypan recently, and it appears the Birmingham-based side are further ahead than their rivals in the chase.
There’s the small matter of agreeing on terms with Rosenborg, with the report stating the Norwegian side might agree to mart ways if an overall package near the £20 million mark comes on their table. As things stand, Aston Villa might be on the brink of winning the race for the 18-year-old Scandinavian whizkid target ahead of their more esteemed rivals in the Premier League.
Aston Villa set to convince Sverre Nypan with their project
Aston Villa are certainly faced with the prospect of beating the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for Nypan. The latter were linked with the move as the City Football Group were trying to sign the teenage sensation for their other club Girona. As per Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa are advancing in talks with Nypan’s camp as well as with Rosenborg, having presented the project weeks ago to the player.
Emery has given young professionals plenty of opportunity to make their mark. That alone could be a big factor for Nypan to consider Aston Villa as his preferred destination ahead of the summer, he might think of having a chance to break into Emery’s first-team plans with ease and on merit.
