Arsenal might look to sign 28-year-old French serial winner Kingsley Coman from Bundesliga club Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
According to an update by reputed German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Kingsley Coman is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are in contact with the Bayern Munich winger’s entourage over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The Bundesliga giants expect the French international to depart from the Allianz Arena in the coming months.
The German journalist claims the North London giants have expressed their interest in the serial trophy winner. Meanwhile, a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football has claimed that the Frenchman is not a first-choice target for Arsenal heading into the summer transfer window.
Kingsley Coman and his career so far
Kingsley Coman has been a serial winner since turning professional at Paris Saint-Germain. The 28-year-old has won a trophy (including a league title) every season apart from the 2023/24 campaign. Meanwhile, Coman has been in and out of the starting lineup at Bayern Munich this term.
The French international has contributed to ten goals in 1,597 minutes of game time across 35 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net six goals and providing four assists. Meanwhile, the Bundesliga giants are ready to part ways with Coman in the summer transfer window, with Arsenal among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.
London calling?
Arsenal’s interest in Kingsley Coman is understandable. The Gunners have been over-dependent on Bukayo Saka for productivity from the flanks; Mikel Arteta wants the North London club to dip into the market for a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, Coman has emerged as a viable target for Arsenal.
The Premier League heavyweights have expressed interest in the 28-year-old Frenchman, contacting the player’s entourage. However, while Coman is an option worth considering for the North London club, he is not a first-choice target for Mikel Arteta.
However, with Bayern Munich ready to cash in on the French international and identifying Florian Wirtz as a long-term replacement, a summer departure from the Allianz Arena is on the cards. It will be interesting to see if a move to Arsenal sees the light of day for the serial winner.
