Jadon Sancho may make surprise Manchester United return this summer

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is currently on loan at Chelsea, and he has done quite well for the Blues this season.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, although Chelsea have an obligation to buy Jadon Sancho permanently at the end of his loan spell, the 24-year-old English international could still end up at Manchester United this summer.

The report states that Chelsea are yet to agree personal terms with the Englishman even though they are set to sign him in the summer according to the conditions of the loan deal. If they fail to do so in the coming weeks, Chelsea will have to sign the player permanently and sell him to another club immediately, or they could back away from the obligation to sign him permanently and pay a penalty to Manchester United.

If they agree to pay a penalty to Manchester United, Jadon Sancho will have to return to his parent club. Interestingly, the English international had reportedly taken a paycut to seal the loan move to Chelsea last summer.

Manchester United return would be a blow for Sancho

Jadon Sancho does not have a future at Manchester United, and the player will certainly hope that Chelsea can sign him permanently in the summer. The 24-year-old has shown improvement at Chelsea this season, and there is no doubt that he could be a very useful acquisition for them in the coming months.

The Englishman will look to play regularly at this stage of his career, and Chelsea have been able to provide him with that platform. Manchester United do not view him as a key part of their plans going forward, and returning to Old Trafford would be a blow for the player.

It remains to be seen whether he can secure an agreement with Chelsea over his personal terms. Meanwhile, it is fair to assume that Manchester United will not be keen on bringing him back to the club as well. They will look to get rid of him permanently and move on.

it will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few months. Manchester United are expected to get rid of Antony and Marcus Rashford permanently at the end of the season as well.
