Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham express interest in Jonathan David

Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are keen on signing the Lille striker Jonathan David.

According to a report from Fichajes, all four English clubs have registered their interest in signing the Canadian International striker with 32 goal contributions this season.

He will be a free agent at the end of the season and he has not signed a new contract with the French outfit. Signing him on a free transfer would be a major coup for any club and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The striker is reportedly keen on a move to English football.

David would improve all four teams

Liverpool could certainly use more quality in the final third. David would be an upgrade on Darwin Nunez, who has failed to find the back of the net regularly.

At Manchester United, he could start ahead of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. Both players have been underwhelming for Manchester United and they have not been able to find the back of the net consistently.

Chelsea are also interested in signing the Canadian international. Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer have carried their attack this season and the Blues are looking to add more quality to the side. It remains to be seen whether they can bring in another quality striker.

Tottenham have expressed their interest in the player as well, and it will be interesting to see if they can secure his signature. They need another player who can share the goal scoring burden with Dominic Solanke and the opportunity to sign a player of David’s quality on a free transfer can be hard to turn down.

The Canadian is entering his prime years and he will want to compete at the highest level. He will want to join a team capable of fighting for major trophies regularly. It remains to be seen where he ends up. Whoever ends up signing him on a free transfer will have pulled off a masterstroke.

All four Premier League clubs have the financial resources to offer him a lucrative contract to convince the player, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
