Liverpool are reportedly interested in 19-year-old Belgian wonderkid Mika Godts, having watched him in action for Eredivisie club Ajax.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Liverpool sent scouts to watch Belgian wonderkid Mika Godts last month, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official offer to sign him in the summer transfer window.
The highly-rated forward has done quite well for Ajax, and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for liverpool. It is no secret that they need to add more quality and depth through the attacking unit. The Belgian prodigy would be future asset for the club, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.
The 19-year-old is versatile enough to operate on either flank, and he will add goals and creativity to the side. The youngster has eight goals and six assists to his name this season, and he is only going to improve with coaching and experience.
Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play for them will be quite exciting for the 19 year old. The teenage prospect will want to join them if the opportunity presents itself. Regular football in England could help him improve further and fulfill his potential.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can negotiate a reasonable deal with Ajax for the Belgian wonderkid. If they can sign him for a reasonable fee, the deal could look like a bargain in the long term. Liverpool could play a key role in his development over the next few seasons.
Liverpool need a wide player
Liverpool need more depth in the wide areas, especially with Mohamed Salah yet to sign a new contract with the Merseyside outfit. The Egyptian international has been exceptional this season, and losing him would be a mistake. However, a summer departure as a free agent is possible.
Although the 19-year-old Belgian wonderkid is not ready to replace a world-class player like Salah, he could still be a very useful squad option for Liverpool. He will be very useful during injuries and rotation. Meanwhile, Liverpool have also scouted other Ajax prospects, including Anton Gaaei and Jorrel Hato.
