Barcelona are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United attacking sensation Alejandro Garnacho.
According to a report from Fichajes, Barcelona are keen on signing Alejandro Garnacho, who is not really enjoying life at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim. His relationship with the manager has been the talk of the town of late. The Catalan giants are keeping a close eye on his situation as they wait for the perfect opportunity to pounce.
Garnacho was a part of the Atletico Madrid youth setup back in the day before he made the move to Old Trafford towards the end of 2020. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to the first team in the summer of 2022 and hasn’t looked back since.
Garnacho could end up leaving United
He had an impressive rise under Erik ten Hag, but things haven’t been that great for him under Amorim. While he still remains a key figure in the team and has a feature in the majority of their games, the 20-year-old doesn’t really have the best of relations with the manager.
The Portuguese manager hasn’t really impressed with his attitude and his commitment at certain times in the season. As a result, the Argentine international has been linked with a move away from the club, and Barcelona are interested in taking him back to Spain.
Barcelona keen on Garnacho
They are closely monitoring his situation at Old Trafford as they consider him an ideal fit for their project. The Catalan giants seek more firepower in the final third. While they already have quality options on the flanks, they feel that Garnacho could be a great investment for the short as well as the long run.
Not only does he have the pace, but the 20-year-old thrives in one-on-one situations. He has all the qualities to succeed at Barcelona, and they would love to have someone of his quality in their squad. While his situation at United is complicated, it won’t be easy to prise him away as his contract there runs until 2028, and there are other top clubs that are interested in his signature.
