Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham keen on Lamine Camara

Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are closely monitoring AS Monaco star Lamine Camara ahead of a potential move.

Lamine Camara has had an impressive rise at AS Monaco and he now finds himself on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. According to a report from TBR, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham are all interested in his services and have already watched him in action.

After making a name for himself at the famed Dakar-based Generation Foot academy, Camara made the move to FC Metz at the start of 2023. He got promoted to their first team in no time, and on the back of an impressive debut campaign at the senior level, he made the move to AS Monaco last summer in a deal worth £12.5 million.

The 21-year-old Senegalese international hardly took any time to adjust to life at his new club. He is already a mainstay in the team and has contributed towards eight goals in his 31 outings. While he prefers playing as a defensive midfielder, he can feature in other roles in the centre of the park.

Camara is considered to be the best talent to have come out of Senegal after Sadio Mane, and he has been likened to N’Golo Kante, which speaks volumes about the talent he has. His impressive performances at the French club have put him on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Premier League giants to battle for Camara

Multiple English clubs have already started plotting a move for him ahead of next season. Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham have all watched him in action and would love to have him in their team.

Villa have taken giant strides in the recent season, and they will once again look to add more quality to their team to continue growing at a rapid pace. Camara could be a great investment for Villa’s team.

Meanwhile, the Reds have been looking for a new number six for some time, and the Senegalese international can certainly be an ideal fit for their project. He could rival Ryan Gravenberch for a place in the starting XI.

Tottenham are expected to undergo a rebuild next summer, and the midfield will be among their top priorities. Camara’s massive potential suggests he could be a great acquisition for them.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, they are well stocked in the defensive midfield department, but they are constantly on the lookout for young stars with massive potential. The London club have a long-standing interest in him. While they don’t need another six, it won’t really be a surprise if they still go after him.

Monaco, for their part, do not want to part ways with him and will resist any approaches. However, their stance could change if there is a massive offer on the table.
