Tottenham eyeing Antoine Semenyo swoop

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo from fellow Premier League club Bournemouth this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Antoine Semenyo is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are scouring the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Bournemouth star. Meanwhile, the high-flying Cherries will demand around €60 million to part ways with the Ghanaian international later this year.

Antoine Semenyo and his progress at Bournemouth

Antoine Semenyo has established himself as one of the most dependable attackers in the Premier League since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023. Born in London, he has chosen to represent Ghana in international football. Meanwhile, he has come leaps and bounds in the last two years at the Vitality Stadium.

The 25-year-old can play on either flank, and his productivity has helped Bournemouth become shock contenders for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season. Semenyo has contributed to 14 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net nine times and providing five assists.

Meanwhile, Semenyo’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile Premier League clubs. Recent reports have linked the Ghanaian international with Manchester United, while Tottenham Hotspur will look to beat the competition to his signature in the summer transfer window.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Antoine Semenyo is understandable. The Lilywhites are scouring the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Richarlison’s long-term future. In addition, the decision-makers at Tottenham are concerned about Son Heung-min’s form.

So, several candidates, including Ayoze Perez, have emerged on Tottenham’s radar, with Semenyo also a viable target. However, the London-born attacker will not come cheap, with Bournemouth demanding around €60 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.

It is unclear if Tottenham Hotspur will be open to coughing up €60 million to sign the 25-year-old Ghanaian international in the summer transfer window. However, Semenyo’s experience in the Premier League should bode well for the North London outfit, while he might be the ideal foil to Dominic Solanke.
