La Liga heavyweights Barcelona are reportedly willing to offer Ferran Torres in the deal to sign 25-year-old Portuguese international Rafael Leao from AC Milan.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Rafael Leao is the subject of interest from FC Barcelona. The Catalan giants are scouring the market for a productive attacker heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the AC Milan forward. The Blaugrana will aim to sweeten the pot by offering Ferran Torres in the deal to sign the Portuguese international.
The rise and rise fo Rafael Leao
Rafael Leao has been one of the best players in Serie A since joining AC Milan from LOSC Lille in August 2019. While the 25-year-old has blown hot and cold throughout his spell with the Rossoneri, he has been a pivotal figure for his team.
Leao has been solid in the 2024/25 season, even though he has not fulfilled his potential. Nevertheless, the Portuguese international has amassed ten goals and seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions thus far this term. As for Ferran Torres, the Spaniard has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Barcelona from Manchester City in January 2022.
The 25-year-old has played his part for Barcelona without being an undisputed first-choice starter for the Blaugrana. Torres has contributed to 14 goals in only 1,020 minutes of game time, finding the back of the net 11 times and providing three assists. However, the Spanish attacker’s long-term future at FC Barcelona is uncertain, with the Catalan giants ready to use him as a makeweight in the deal to sign Leao.

Barcelona’s interest in Rafael Leao is understandable. The Catalan giants are scouring the market for a productive attacker heading into the summer transfer window. So, the AC Milan talisman has emerged as a viable target, with his qualities making him the ideal foil to Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
