Chelsea willing to pay €30 million for Loic Bade

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea are ready to table an offer worth €30 million to sign Sevilla defensive mainstay Loic Bade.

Chelsea are not entirely convinced about the defenders at their disposal and they will look to reshape their backline ahead of next season. According to a report from Fichajes, Sevilla’s Loic Bade is quite high on their wishlist and they are preparing an offer worth €30 million to lure the French sensation to Stamford Bridge.

Bade joined Sevilla at the start of 2023 from Stade Rennais on a short loan spell. He had an impressive start to life in Spain and the move became permanent in the following summer transfer window.

He has only gone from strength to strength since making the move to Sevilla. The 24-year-old has established himself as a key figure in their first team and played a key role in France securing the silver medal in the Olympics last summer.

Bade unlikley to stay at Sevilla for long

There was no shortage of interest in his services last summer but the Spanish club managed to hold onto him. He even ended up signing a new deal extending his stay until the summer of 2029. Even the new contract didn’t stop Aston Villa from trying their luck in the winter.

Unai Emery’s team failed to strike a deal as Sevilla made it quite clear that they would only listen to important offers for their French centre-back. They will be open to negotiating his departure next summer as long as there is a decent offer on the table.

Chelsea prepare an offer for Bade

Chelsea who want to renew their defence are interested in the 24-year-old and could table a significant offer to sign him. With Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah’s future uncertain and Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile unable to put in consistent performances at the back, there could be quite a few changes in the Blues’ backline.

They have identified quite a few targets and Bade is right at the top of their target list. They are looking to convince Sevilla to sell one of their stars for an offer worth €30 million and it will be interesting to see if the Spanish club considers it to be good enough.
