Chelsea have established contact with the representatives of German midfield sensation Kofi Jeremy Amoako ahead of a potential move.
Chelsea are constantly on the lookout for young stars with massive potential, and they seem to have found another gem in Germany. According to a report from the BILD, the Blues are interested in acquiring the services of Kofi Jeremy Amoako, who has been putting in impressive performances while on loan at VfL Osnabrück.
Amoako has been a part of the VfL Wolfsburg youth setup since 2019. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team ahead of the ongoing campaign. While he had already made his senior debut under Niko Kovac, the teenager was unlikely to have regular minutes, as a result, they ended up sending him out on loan at 3. Liga outfit Osnabrück.
The German youth international is certainly enjoying the opportunities that have come his way in the ongoing campaign. He has featured in a total of 22 matches. While the majority of his appearances have come in his preferred defensive midfield role, he has even featured as a centre-back and a central midfielder.
His consistent performances have put him on the radar of Chelsea, who are constantly looking for young prospects. The Blues’ new project revolves around signing the most talented youngsters around and Amoaka certainly fits the bill.
Chelsea plot a summer raid on Wolfsburg for Amoako
The West London club have been watching the teenager since the start of the campaign as he has been putting in impressive performances while on loan. The Blues already have enough options in the defensive midfield role, but they are looking to prepare for the long run and the 19-year-old can certainly help their cause.
Chelsea have already established contact with the player’s entourage as they look to secure his services. Having presented their future project to his camp, they are optimistic about signing him ahead of next season. They will look to send him out on loan to sister club RC Strasbourg to ensure he gets regular minutes and continues his development as a player.
The player is currently valued at just €350,000, and the Blues should not have much difficulty in signing him with his current deal running out in the summer of 2026. However, if he does pen a new deal, things could change.
