Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Tottenham are all after the signature of Middlesbrough teenage sensations Anton and Bailey Palmer.
Middlesbrough’s youth academy has produced quite a few talents in the past, and they are currently home to English twin prodigies who are on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in England. According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keen on signing Anton and Bailey Palmer who have made quite a name for themselves with their performances at the youth level.
Both Anton and Bailey have been a part of their youth setup for some time now, and they are currently a regular feature for their Under-18s. While the twins are yet to make their first-team debut, they are already a massive talking point in English football.
They are seen as two of the biggest prospects in Boro’s highly rated academy, and Bailey is very close to getting his first taste of senior football as he has been seen on the bench of Michael Carrick’s first team on quite a few occasions.
Anton and Bailey could leave Middlesbrough
At just 16, Antony and Bailey Palmer are already considered among the best in their age group, attracting significant interest from some of the English giants. Chelsea, who are constantly on the lookout for young stars, have their eyes set on the twins.
The Blues’ transfer policy revolves around signing the best young players, and the midfield duo certainly fits the bill. Chelsea have keeping a close eye on them, and they could look to raid Middlesbrough in the summer. Enzo Maresca’s team want to ensure they do not miss out on the Palmer twins, who are also on the wishlist for Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Spurs have also focused on signing young stars since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou. Tottenham are looking to build a team for the future, and they are interested in investing in the Boro youngsters, who have been putting in impressive performances at the Under-18 level.
Aston Villa are also keen on persuading the duo to leave Middlesbrough this summer.
