Mathys Tel pushing for Manchester United move, talks underway

Bayern Munich attacking sensation Mathys Tel is keen on making the move to Premier League giants Manchester United.

Mathys Tel’s future has been one of the biggest talking points in recent weeks. The Bayern Munich sensation has been linked with a move away but things haven’t worked out so far. While nothing concrete has happened just yet, he could still end up securing a move on deadline day.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Tel has made a decision regarding his future. He wants to play for Manchester United and is pushing for a move to Old Trafford. Both clubs are now involved in intense negotiations as they look to reach a common ground.

The 19-year-old winger joined Bayern in the summer of 2022 after making a name for himself at Stade Rennais. While he has showcased glimpses of the talent he possesses during the limited opportunities he has had, Tel hasn’t been able to establish himself as a key figure in their team.

He has reportedly fallen out with Vincent Kompany and having been on the pitch for less than 500 minutes so far, the teenager is now pushing for an exit. Tottenham were one of the clubs linked with the young forward who can feature anywhere in attack.

They had an agreement in place with Bayern but Tel turned down the opportunity to move to North London. While he might have rejected Tottenham, he could still end up moving to the Premier League before the transfer window slams shut.

United receive boost in their pursuit of Tel

Manchester United are the ones who are keen on his signature. Ruben Amorim seeks more firepower and Tel is considered to be an ideal fit for his system. They have been working on a potential transfer of late and are very close to securing his services.

They have received a massive boost as the player wants to move to Old Trafford with immediate effect. Both clubs are involved in concrete talks as they look to reach an agreement. While the Red Devils did submit a straightforward loan offer, it was turned down by Bayern without a second thought as they were not happy with the package offered.

The German outfit are pushing for a permanent sale and are open to a loan departure as long as there is an obligation to buy. While talks are complicated, the Manchester-based giants are trying their best to add him to their squad.
