Carney Chukwuemeka keen on Juventus move amid Everton, West Ham United links

Everton and West Ham United midfield target Carney Chukwuemeka is keen on joining Italian giants Juventus.

According to a report from TBR, Juventus could end up winning the race for Carney Chukwuemeka as he prefers moving to Turin amidst interest from the likes of Everton and West Ham United.

After coming up the ranks and making a name for himself while playing for Aston Villa, Chukwuemeka made the move to Chelsea in the summer of 2022. The move hasn’t really worked out for the 21-year-old as he is currently more of a backup option at Stamford Bridge.

He hasn’t made the Premier League squad under Enzo Maresca and only has a total of five first-team appearances in the ongoing season. While his contract at Chelsea runs until the summer of 2028, the club had informed the English youth international ahead of the winter window that he was free to leave the club.

The Blues initially wanted £40 million to sanction his departure and a loan move wasn’t an option. But, a lot has changed in recent weeks as the London club have realised that only a temporary departure is realistic for now.

Juventus winning the race for Chukwuemeka?

With Chelsea ready to sanction a loan departure, multiple clubs are looking to make a move for him. West Ham and Juventus are keen on signing him while people at Everton have held internal discussions regarding his signing.

Graham Potter wants to reunite with Chukwuemeka at West Ham while the Toffees are holding talks with the Blues over replacing the injured Armando Broja with another player from Stamford Bridge and the 21-year-old is one of the names that is being discussed.

While both English clubs are keen on his signature, Juventus might end up winning the race. The Italian giants are looking to add more quality to their midfield and they are hoping Chukwuemeka could take Douglas Luiz’s place in the team.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Manchester City and the Old Lady are looking to bring in the Chelsea youngster to replace him. Juventus do have a massive advantage as the player prefers moving to Turin at this stage. The Italian giants are keen on his signature but they are not ready to include any buy-obligation to the deal.
