Juventus prioritise Lloyd Kelly move but Newcastle United eager to keep hold, Jean-Clair Todibo wants move

Juventus are prioritising Newcastle’s Lloyd Kelly to reinforce their backline, with Jean-Clair Todibo also on their wishlist.

Juventus are looking to reinforce their backline in the ongoing transfer window and according to TuttoSport via SportWitness, the Old Lady will prioritise the signing of Lloyd Kelly from Newcastle United. They have already held talks about bringing him to Turin.

The Italian giants have already bolstered their backline by adding Renato Veiga to their squad from Chelsea but they are still looking for more depth and quality. Kelly who has struggled for game time since making the move to Newcastle ahead of the ongoing season is at the top of their wishlist.

Juventus make moves to sign Kelly

The Turin-based club have already held talks to sign him. While they haven’t made any progress on that front, the Old Lady haven’t given up just yet. Kelly has missed Newcastle’s last three games amidst speculations about his future which suggest he could be living his final days at the Tyneside club.

The Magpies have made their stance very clear, they won’t entertain a loan deal without a buy obligation. They want a permanent sale while Juventus want to try their player first. While Kelly remains their priority target and they haven’t given up yet, they are also interested in the services of West Ham star Jean-Clair Todibo.

Todibo wants Juventus move

According to Corriere dello Sport via SportWitness, Todibo is keen on joining Juventus and has informed Thiago Motta about his desire. He is ready to cut short his time at West Ham and make the switch to Turin for the second half of the season.

He is currently on a season-long loan at the London club but hasn’t really enjoyed his time in England. He seeks a mid-season departure and wants to move to the Serie A. Motta wants to sign him in the summer and can certainly revisit the issue with the player now available.

The Italian giants have reportedly offered a loan move with an option to buy which could certainly work in their favour as West Ham are looking to sign him next summer and then sanction his departure. While Todibo wants to play for Juventus, the final decision will depend on Newcastle and their stance on Kelly’s future.
