Arsenal and Manchester United keen on Senne Lammens

Arsenal are all set to battle it out with Manchester United for the services of Royal Antwerp shot-stopper Senne Lammens.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in the services of Senne Lammens who has made quite a name for himself on the back of consistent performances for Royal Antwerp. Both Premier League outfits have been keeping a close eye on him ahead of a potential transfer.

Lammens came up the ranks at Club Brugge and was a part of their first team for three years before making the move to Antwerp in the summer of 2023. He has established himself as a key figure in his new team and has seven clean sheets in his 36 outings.

While his debut season wasn’t that great, he has had an impressive first half of the 2024/25 season with five clean sheets in 20 outings. The 22-year-old shot-stopper has shown a lot of promise and his work hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Lammens could move to England

Arsenal and Manchester United are two Premier League clubs that have taken note of his performances. Both clubs are looking to add more depth to the goalkeeping position and they could look to prise Lammens away from Antwerp.

Both English giants are in search of more depth behind their number-one. United are considering parting ways with their current backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir. As a result, they could look at Lammens as an ideal replacement.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are looking to prepare for life without Neto who is currently on loan at the club. He is the current number two and they want to bring in someone who can take up that role starting next season.

While the Belgian youth international is not yet ready to start games at the highest level, he surely has the potential and can prove to be a great backup option. He could pounce on any opportunity to move to the Premier League even when he is aware that he will have to work very hard to eventually get regular minutes.

United and Arsenal will have to fork out around €10 million if they want to convince Royal Antwerp to sanction the departure of their young shot-stopper who still has well over two years left on his deal.
