Chelsea could part ways with their Italian midfield sensation Cesare Casadei in January to raise funds.
According to a report from talkSPORT, Chelsea are ready to sanction the departure of Cesare Casadei in the winter transfer window. The Blues will be looking to trim their squad mid-season and raise funds for any potential moves.
Casadei made a name for himself coming up the ranks at Inter Milan. He ended up joining Chelsea in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth £16 million. While he has huge potential and the Blues were looking at him as someone who could do wonders for them in the long run, things haven’t really worked out for the 21-year-old at Stamford Bridge.
He has had a couple of loan spells away from the club and has only featured in a total of 17 games for the London club. He is yet to start a Premier League game for them and it seems his time at the club will soon come to an end.
Having had less than 500 minutes of first-team action so far, the Italian youth international is keen for regular minutes and is pushing for a move away from the club. While the Blues would have loved to have him around for a few more years, they are under pressure to sell.

Chelsea have a massive squad and quite a few of their stars don’t really have a prominent role under Enzo Maresca. As a result, the Blues are looking to trim their squad and raise funds in the process.
They would be willing to sanction the departure of the Italian midfielder as long as they receive the right offer. There is significant interest in his services from the Serie A and Torino are believed to be the ones who are pushing hard to sign him.
Casadei won’t be the only one who could end up parting ways with the club as they do have a few more players who are surplus to requirements. These departures will help them raise funds which could then be used to bolster their squad in the winter window.
